Battery disposal
Drop off used batteries (single-use and rechargeable) at a battery recycling location in your area or bring them to an upcoming Household Hazardous Waste Event at Mohawk Street Landfill Site (20 Morrison Rd.) for recycling.

Fluorescent and compact fluorescent tubes
You can bring fluorescent tubes (including compact fluorescent bulbs) in a cardboard box or wrap them in newspaper. Do not tape tubes and/or bulbs together. There is a limit of 10 tubes/bulbs per vehicle, per event day.
Ballasts are accepted but must be removed from the fluorescent fixtures.
