- Rent Benefit Program: Provides subsidized rent for eligible households in privately owned rental properties through an agreement with City of Brantford Housing Services. Some subsidized rents are provided through a rent supplement, and some are provided as a portable housing benefit.
- Canada Ontario Housing Benefit (COHB): COHB is a Portable Housing Benefit (PHB) and is a monthly subsidy (housing allowance) provided to eligible households to assist with housing costs. Unlike other forms of housing assistance such as rent-geared-to-income (RGI) assistance, this benefit is portable, allowing the benefit to move with the household to any area in Ontario.
- Housing Stability Fund: The Housing Stability Fund helps individuals and families obtain and maintain stable housing. Funding is available to eligible residents of Brantford and Brant County and may help with utility arrears, utility deposits, housing-related arrears and last month’s rent. For more information, contact the SOAR Community Housing Resource Centre.
