Snow Windrow Removal

A snow windrow is the pile of snow that is left at the bottom of a driveway after a plow has cleared the road.

Snow Windrow Removal Program

If you're over the age of 65, or if you have a disability or medical condition that prevents you from clearing a snow windrow on your own, the City of Brantford can help.

We try to clear windrows (one car width only) within 24 hours after we finish plowing the roads. Please see our Windrow Removal Program Guidelines for more information.

New! Request a Snow Buddy

The Neighbourhood Alliance of Brantford has partnered with the City of Brantford to provide neighbours in need of help shovelling snow on sidewalks, crosswalks and/or driveways with the help of a volunteer. You can request the assistance of a Snow Buddy using the Windrow Application form.

The Snow Buddy Program is a separate program from the Windrow Snow Removal Program, and your acceptance into the Windrow Snow Removal Program does not guarantee you a volunteer snow buddy through the Snow Buddy Program.
