Brantford is growing, and how people move around the city is changing. The City of Brantford is re-imagining Brantford Transit service to better help you get to where you’re going today and in the future. We want to work together to create a community-informed plan for transit to help you move around the city safely, comfortably, and efficiently.

Thank you to those who participated in the online survey and Round 1 engagement activities! You shared feedback with us on customer service, payment and fares, routes and service coverage, and accessibility. The input received was critical to inform the development of our vision, along with the draft transit network.

However you commute, have your say!

We are now in Round 2 of the community engagement, and there are lots of ways to stay involved. Do you walk, take transit, drive, or bike? However you move, we need your help!

Explore our Draft Transit Network and recommended next steps for Brantford Lift. Your input is important and will inform and influence the next phase of our plan.

Background

The Brantford Transit routes, services and network have seen little change over the past few years, but lots has changed in the city, including the way in which people move. With the widespread trend of working from home, commutes in particular look different than they did before 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since 2021, transit ridership in Brantford has seen a significant increase. This signals high demand and a unique opportunity to build a transit network that can attract new passengers while continuing to welcome current riders aboard. This transit plan, Moving Forward, will help us better align our transit network to meet the needs of our passengers today, and make sure we’re ready for what the future will bring.
