Brantford's Winter Fun Fest
The City is pleased to offer a variety of family-friendly activities over the Family Day long weekend at Brantford's Winter Fun Fest filled with options for all ages to enjoy.

Join us in the heart of downtown Brantford on Sunday, February 15, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Enjoy whimsical rides to delicious treats and family fun activities galore at Harmony Square (89 Dalhousie Street). All Harmony Square activities are weather permitting. The fun continues at One Market with a variety of free and fun activities including bouncy inflatables, face painting, craft and meet and greets. Registration is not required.

Hungry Human Hippos A featured attraction is the Hungry Human Hippos, a high-energy, life-sized version of the classic game. Teams of up to six players race, slide, and scoop their way to victory as “hippos” collecting as many balls as possible. Perfect for families, friends, and community groups, this fast-paced activity is suitable for all skill levels and guaranteed to bring big laughs. Hungry Hippos is hosted by Jam Sport and takes place at Harmony Square on the outdoor ice rink, weather permitting.
Registration is required in advance. Registration fees are $25 for family teams (ages 5+), with a maximum of two adults (ages 18+) and $40 for adult teams (ages 18+). The family game will take place from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. followed by the adult only games from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Whether you’re competing for bragging rights or just looking for an unforgettable good time, Hungry Human Hippos delivers excitement for everyone. Online registration is now available at www.JamSports.com/Tournaments. Registration is deadline is Sunday, February 1, 2026. In the event Hungry Hippos is cancelled due to weather, games will be rescheduled or a full refund will be issued. | 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. | Crock A Doodle Enjoy getting creative with a fun hands-on activity. The first 100 children will receive a free 4-inch tile to paint and take home. Additional tiles will be available for purchase for $12 for a 6-inch tile or $25 for a party animal tile. |
Free parking is available downtown at the Market Centre Parkade (59 Icomm Dr.) on Saturdays and Sundays. The Brantford Transit main terminal is conveniently located across one block away from Harmony Square. Schedules, routes and rates are available online at Brantford.ca/Transit. For those looking for accessible transportation, Brantford Lift is also available when pre-booking.
Dalhousie St. from Clarence St. to Market St. will be closed on Sunday, February 15, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Construction is now underway on Phase 1 of the Downtown Revitalization Project, with crews replacing aging underground water, sewer, and utility infrastructure. Construction details can be found at www.Brantford.ca/DowntownDetours. Detour routes will be signed to accommodate vehicular traffic.
Volunteering
There are several ways to get involved in this year’s Brantford Winter Fun Fest event. The City is currently seeking volunteers to assist with set-up and take-down, and other various duties. High school community hours will be available. Volunteer applications will be accepted until Monday, January 26, 2026. Accepted volunteers will be required to take mandatory virtual training on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Public Swims
Splash in for a Public Swim at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre (254 North Park Street) from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. offered daily over the Family Day long weekend from Saturday, February 14 to Monday, February 16, 2026. Regular swim rates and swim admission requirements will apply. Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre Facility and Pool membership holders can swim for free. Free onsite parking will be available.

Public Skating
Join us for a Public Skate on Sunday, February 15, 2026 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre (254 North Park Street). Admission is $4.50 per skater or free for children aged 4 and under. Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre Facility members can skate for free. CSA approved helmets are strongly recommended. For safety reasons, equipment is not permitted on the ice. Free onsite parking will be available.

Bell Homestead NHS Toonie Tours
Pre-book your family for a guided tour of Alexander Graham Bell’s home at the Bell Homestead National Historic Site (94 Tutela Heights Road) for the special admission price of only $2 per person on Monday, February 16, 2026. Children four and under are free. Tours can be booked between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., excluding the lunch hour from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. To reserve a spot, please call 519-756-6220 or email bellhomestead@brantford.ca.
