Emerging Artist Mentorship Program for Jubilee Terrace Park

A local emerging artist residing in Brantford, the County of Brant, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, or Six Nations of the Grand River will be selected by the City of Brantford, with input from the selected artist, to serve as an assistant during the fabrication and installation phases of the project. The artist will receive a paid honorarium of $1,000 for their participation. This program will require a commitment of two to four hours per month and up to one week for on-site work during the installation period next year, sometime in early to mid-2027. The hours and structure of the mentorship program may fluctuate based on the stage of the fabrication process and design. Those interested in applying for this mentorship opportunity can apply online at Brantford.ca/ArtistMentorship. Applications are due Friday, July 24, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

The City of Brantford is seeking five artists to create original artwork that will be used to wrap traffic cabinets across the community this summer. This project builds on the City’s existing traffic cabinet wrap program and aims to both deter graffiti and add vibrant, creative touches to public spaces. The deadline to apply is Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EST. Closed for applications.

The City of Brantford is inviting regional artists or an artist team to transform a utility building in Tutela Park, located at 160 Erie Avenue, with an original mural. Eligible artists are invited to submit expressions of interest and qualifications through the online form by Sunday, May 10, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Closed for applications. 

Local singers, dancers, poets, spoken word artists, musicians, theatre performers, and live painters are invited to submit their proposal to showcase their skills at this year’s Culture Days on the Trails event on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Artists will be stationed along the trail and paid $250.00 for a three-hour performance time. Please note that due to the outdoor nature of this event, there will not be any power or water supply. Shade will be limited, but performance sites have been selected based on shade and performance space. Artists will be selected through a jury-led review panel. Please submit your application online by Friday, May 1, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. Closed for applications. 

The City of Brantford is inviting artists to transform the east-facing wall of the City Water Reservoir facility located at 310 Campbell Street with a new mural, visible from Wayne Gretzky Parkway. Closed for applications. 

The City of Brantford’s second annual Brantford Beats & Eats festival returns to downtown Brantford on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Closed for applications. 

Local musicians from Brantford, the County of Brant, Six Nations of the Grand River, and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation are invited to submit up to three original songs to be considered for inclusion in the Trail Mix 2026 playlist. Closed for applications.

The City of Brantford, in consultation with the selected artist or artist team, will choose a local artist to serve as a paid assistant during the fabrication and installation phase for a new public art piece commemorating the 150th anniversary of the telephone. Closed for applications.
