The City of Brantford offers a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities for all interests, ages and abilities. 

Summer Fun

Outdoor Pools

Earl Haig Family Fun Park offers all day family fun including a leisure pool and waterslide, lazy river, mini-putt, splash pad and much more and is open June to Labour Day, including all summer holidays. Soak up the fun at Woodman Pool with a variety of swimming including Public Swims, Length Swims, Aquafit and Swim Lessons. Both facilities are open weather permitting, from June to Labour Day.

Golf and lawn bowling

The Walter Gretzky Municipal Golf Course and Learning Centre boasts a mature 18-hole championship layout featuring large greens, contoured fairways, white bunker sand, full pro shop and clubhouse services. Lawn bowling is also available. Everyone is welcome to enjoy delicious fare and beverages at Wally's Grill & Patio

Trails

Brantford trails connects Brantford to other nearby cities including Port Dover, Hamilton, Paris, and beyond. Trails are paved or have a stone surface and are great for running, biking, or hiking. Please note that our trails are not maintained in the winter months and must be used at your own risk. View a copy of the trail map, closures and rules for your safety. 

Outdoor courts

Enjoy playing a game of pickleball or tennis outdoors at Dufferin Park (164 St. Paul Ave), Steve Brown Sports Complex (12 Edge St) and Kiwanis Field (627 Colborne St). Brantford outdoor courts are available as weather permits. Equipment is not provided.

Sports Fields

There are many different Sports Fields in the City including, artificial turf multi-use, softball and hardball baseball diamonds, and soccer and football fields. Sports Fields are open from April 1 to November 30, weather permitting.

Wintery Fun

Lace up your skates and enjoy ice-skating at a neighbourhood ice rink or enjoying sledding at Arrowdale Park.
