Brantford Beats & Eats

Get ready for the second annual Brantford Beats & Eats, a free summer festival happening in downtown Brantford on Saturday, July 18, 2026! Join us at Harmony Square (89 Dalhousie Street) and along Colborne Street, between Queen Street and Bain Street, for a full day of delicious food, live music, art, and entertainment.

Entertainment Area

Enjoy entertainment from various performers stationed along Colborne Street, including free magic shows from Awesome Mike Magic and Axe-Throwing from Smash ‘N Axes (for a fee).

Battle of the Brushes

New this year! Don't miss Battle of the Brushes, a live painting competition that will take place during the event. Artists will have 40 minutes to paint a secret subject revealed only at the start of the round, and the audience will cast their votes to crown the champion.

Round One 12:00 p.m. to 12:40 p.m.
Voting Period  12:40 p.m. to 12:50 p.m.
Round Two 1:00 p.m. to 1:40 p.m.
Winners Announced 1:40 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Food Trucks and Licensed Patio

Several food trucks, including Fo'Cheezy, What's the Scoop, Los Rolling Tacos, Mustache Burger, and The Sassy Lemon, will be on-site with food and beverages for purchase. Those 19 and over can stop by the Licensed Patio sponsored by Shack Bar (ID required for entry).

Parking and Road Closures

Downtown road closures will be in effect for the community to enjoy the event. Colborne Street from Queen Street to Bain Street will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Parking is free in the municipal parking garage located at 59 Icomm Drive

Volunteer Opportunities

The City of Brantford is currently seeking volunteers to assist with various activities during Brantford Beats & Eats. High school community hours will be available. Accepted volunteers will be required to take mandatory virtual training. Those interested are encouraged to email tourism@brantford.ca for more information.
