Brant War Memorial to include 23 additional veterans’ names

BRANTFORD, ON – On Monday, September 15, 2025, the City of Brantford will add the names of 23 veterans to the Brant War Memorial, ensuring their service and sacrifice are formally recognized.

This work follows a comprehensive community consultation and review period in late 2024, confirming the addition of 22 names from the Second World War (1939-1945) and one name from the First World War (1914-1918). City staff were approached by the owners of Ingham Monuments in Brantford, who graciously offered to complete the inscription work on the monument as a donation. This work is scheduled to proceed today and possibly tomorrow, as weather permits.

This year’s Remembrance Day service will include an official unveiling and remarks to honour these veterans and pay tribute to their lasting legacy. More information will be announced in the coming weeks.
