The City of Brantford and the Brant Regional Association of Volunteer Administrators (BRAVA), invites residents to the Fall Volunteer Fair on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at T.B.Costain/SC Johnson Community Centre from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Road work on the south side of Icomm Drive is underway, and watermain installation continues this week. The south lanes of Icomm Drive will be open for two-way traffic as early as the week of October 5. 

On Wednesday, September 30, 2026, the City of Brantford will join communities across Canada to recognize and observe National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Visitors attending events at the TD Civic Centre, including Brantford Bulldogs home games, are advised of temporary parking and access changes during the construction of Brantford's Sports and Entertainment Centre.

The City of Brantford is giving away 265 free trees to residents to help homeowners plant more trees and support climate action. 

Take a walk on the beautiful SC Johnson Trail during the fourth annual Culture Days on the Trails event on Saturday, September 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. featuring several free performances and more. The rain date for this event will be Sunday, September 20.

Brantford's biggest Halloween event of the season returns on Friday, October 2 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 3 from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in Harmony Square and Mohawk Park.

City of Brantford residents who regularly participate in the green bin program are invited to nominate themselves or their neighbours for the Golden Green Bin Contest. A winner will randomly be selected from each ward and receive a gold star decal for their green bin with a $100 gift card to a local grocery store of their choice.
