City of Brantford schedule changes will be in place for Remembrance Day on Wednesday, November 11, 2026.

The City of Brantford and the Brant Community Foundation invite non-profit organizations to submit applications for grant funding through the City Grants program. 

City of Brantford City Clerk and Returning Officer, Chris Gauthier, has declared the official, certified results of Brantford’s October 26, 2026 municipal election.

Beginning October 27, 2026, lane reductions and closures will be in place on Mount Pleasant Road between Tutela Heights Road and Gilkison Street to accommodate microtunnelling work. These traffic changes are expected to remain in place into 2027.

Due to weather delays, road work on the south side of Icomm Drive is expected to be completed this week. Weather permitting, the south lanes are expected to reopen to two-way traffic as early as October 21, 2026.

Longtime partners the City of Brantford and Wilfrid Laurier University have entered into an agreement that will see the Odeon Building (50 Market St.) become a community-operated facility. The municipality will lease the Odeon from the university at no charge starting on November 1, 2026 and plans to use the 21,000 square foot building to support community and cultural activity in the downtown core.
