The City of Brantford invites residents to attend a neighbourhood meeting to learn more about the planned indoor turf sports facility to be located at Jaycee Sports Park at 395 Dunsdon St. Expected to open in fall 2027, the 60,000 square-foot air-supported dome will provide year-round access to indoor turf space for local athletes, sport organizations, residents, and community groups.
The City of Brantford has installed two code blue emergency phones in Harmony Square at 89 Dalhousie Street to improve access to emergency assistance and strengthen public safety. Code blue phones provide an immediate connection to emergency services, allowing users to quickly report medical emergencies, public safety concerns or unlawful activity.
Ballantyne Drive River Access Point and boat launch and D’Aubigny trail access, located north of Spalding Drive, will be closed starting Monday, August 10, 2026 while construction and site enhancements are completed.
City of Brantford and County of Brant officials have jointly agreed to pause consideration of the proposed municipal boundary adjustment involving the Brantford Municipal Airport and surrounding lands.
In May 2026, the City of Brantford and County of Brant signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which would bring 1,317 acres of land currently under the jurisdiction of the County of Brant into the City of Brantford’s municipal boundary.

One lane remains open in each direction between Hill Street and Clarence Street South. Detours are available via Colborne Street, Dalhousie Street, and Clarence Street South.
