Join the Mayor's Great Light Fight and brighten Brantford this holiday season

BRANTFORD, ON – Mayor Kevin Davis is inviting Brantford residents to showcase their holiday spirit by taking part in the Mayor’s Great Light Fight, a community-wide holiday lights competition open to all Brantford residents. Running until December 22, 2025, the contest encourages residents to share photos of their festive home light displays to help lift spirits and spread holiday cheer throughout the community.

“The Great Light Fight is a fun and creative way for residents to come together and share the joy of the season,” says Brantford Mayor Kevin Davis. “It’s inspiring to see the creativity, effort and pride residents put into their displays each year. Every decorated home contributes to the warmth, joy and community spirit that make Brantford such a special place to call home.”

To enter, visit LetsTalkBrantford.ca/MayorsGreatLightFight and upload a photo of your display. Participants are also encouraged to drop a pin on the Holiday Lights Map so others can explore Brantford’s brightest homes.

Entries will be judged by Mayor Kevin Davis and members of the Mayor’s office based on originality, theme, ability to capture holiday spirit, and overall enthusiasm. The contest closes on December 22, 2025 at 4 p.m., and the winner will be announced on December 24, 2025.

This year’s first-place winner will receive a Best of Brantford gift basket filled with purchases and donations from favourite local vendors and other festive goodies:
