City of Brantford 2026 Easter weekend holiday schedule changes

BRANTFORD, ON – For the public’s information, the following schedule changes will be in place during the upcoming Easter long weekend from Friday, April 3 to Monday, April 6, 2026. There are no changes to regularly scheduled garbage, recycling, and green bin collection.

City of Brantford facility schedule changes from Friday, April 3 to Monday, April 6, 2026

Brantford City Hall, Customer Service and Parking Enforcement Office

Brantford City Hall, Customer Service, and the Parking Enforcement Office will be closed at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 2 and reopen on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. While closed, all customer service calls will be taken by the City’s after-hours provider that can be reached by calling the City’s Customer Service number at 519-759-4150.

Brantford Transit and Brantford Lift

• Brantford Transit will offer regular service schedules on Saturday, April 4 and Monday, April 6, 2026. There will be no service available on Friday, April 3 and Sunday, April 5, 2026.
• Brantford Lift will offer regular service schedules on Saturday, April 4 and Monday, April 6, 2026. There will be no service available on Friday, April 3 and Sunday, April 5, 2026.

Bell Homestead National Historic Site

The Bell Homestead National Historic Site will be closed at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 2 and reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

Brantford Farmers’ Market

The Brantford Farmers’ Market will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026 and Saturday, April 4, 2026 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Brantford Farmers’ Market will be closed on Friday, April 3, 2026.

Brantford Public Libraries

All City of Brantford library branches will be closed on Friday, April 3, Sunday, April 5 and Monday, April 6, 2026. The main branch and the St. Paul Branch will be open on Saturday, April 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Both branches will reopen for regular hours on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. 

Cemetery Services

The Brantford Cemetery Main Office will be closed at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 2 and reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

City of Brantford Community Centres

• Branlyn Community Centre will be open for rentals only on Saturday, April 4 and will be closed on Friday, April 3, Sunday, April 5 and Monday, April 6, 2026. Regular hours resume on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
• Doug Snooks Eagle Place Community Centre will be open for rentals only on Saturday, April 4 and will be closed on Friday, April 3, Sunday, April 5 and Monday, April 6, 2026. Regular hours resume on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
• T.B. Costain/SC Johnson Community Centre will be open for rentals only on Saturday, April 4 and will be closed on Friday, April 3, Sunday, April 5 and Monday, April 6, 2026. Regular hours resume on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
• Woodman Park Community Centre will be open for rentals only on Saturday, April 4 and will be closed on Friday, April 3, Sunday, April 5 and Monday, April 6, 2026. Regular hours resume on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

City of Brantford Arenas

• Lions Park Arena will be open for rentals only from Friday, April 3 to Monday, April 6, 2026. Regular hours resume on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
• TD Civic Centre will be open for rentals only from Friday, April 3 to Monday, April 6, 2026. Regular hours resume on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre

The Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre, including the Discover Brantford Desk and Brantford and Area Sports Hall of Recognition, will be open regular hours on Saturday, April 4 and Monday, April 6, 2026.

On Friday, April 3 and Sunday, April 5, 2026 the following schedule will be in place:

• The Weight Room is closed and fitness classes are not scheduled on Friday, April 3 and Sunday, April 5, 2026
• Kid Care is closed
• All pools are closed (Swim Lessons are not scheduled for Friday, April 3 and Sunday, April 5, 2026)
• The Indoor Track is open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Arenas are open for rentals and recreational skating is not scheduled on Friday, April 3 and Sunday, April 5, 2026
• The Discover Brantford Desk is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• The Brantford and Area Sports Hall of Recognition is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Mohawk Street Landfill

The Mohawk Street Landfill will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, April 3, Saturday, April 4 and Monday, April 6, 2026. The landfill will be closed on Sunday, April 5, 2026.

Ontario Works Brantford-Brant Main Office

The Ontario Works Brantford-Brant Main Office at 225 Colborne Street will be closed at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026 and reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
