Downtown Revitalization Project weekly update: June 22 to 26, 2026
BRANTFORD, ON – Installation of underground infrastructure along Icomm Drive and road construction on Hill Street and Icomm Drive continue this week, with traffic controls remaining in place throughout the construction area.
The Hill Street exit of the Market Centre Parkade is temporarily closed for construction and is expected to reopen by the end of June. All parkade entrances remain open. Vehicles must exit using Icomm Drive.
Icomm Drive closures beginning Wednesday, June 24
To support the safe and efficient installation of deep sanitary infrastructure, Icomm Drive will be fully closed between Colborne Street and Hill Street beginning Wednesday, June 24, 2026. One lane of traffic in each direction will remain open between Hill Street and Clarence Street South. Detours around the closure will be available via Colborne Street, Dalhousie Street and Clarence Street South.
The closure of Icomm Drive is expected to remain in place until the end of August. The map below shows the affected lanes and traffic restrictions.

Lorne Bridge Bell Canada utility relocation completed
While Bell Canada’s utility relocation work in the area of Brant Avenue and Colborne Street West has been completed, telecommunications splicing work will continue over the coming weeks in West Brant. Intermittent lane closures may be required.
Public Advisory
Motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians are encouraged to follow posted signage and allow extra travel time. Detour routes are being monitored and adjusted as needed to support traffic flow.
