Purpose and Effect of Proposed Amendment
The City of Brantford is proposing a new Economic Development Community Improvement Plan (EcDev CIP). The EcDev CIP will introduce a tax increment grant program and a building fee reduction program targeted to businesses classified under “industrial occupancy” within the Ontario Building Code. These financial incentive programs are designed to support the expansion of existing businesses and attract new investment within the municipal boundary. The new CIP will outline program scope, applicant requirements, eligible costs, and grant payment terms.

A copy of the proposed Economic Development CIP will be made available to the public for inspection from February 9, 2026 at the Customer Service Counter, 1st Floor, City Hall, 58 Dalhousie Street, Brantford, ON N3T 2J2 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
