Brantford named one of Canada’s best locations to invest by Site Selection Magazine

BRANTFORD, ON – For the seventh year in a row, Site Selection Magazine has named Brantford as one of the top places in the country for business investment.

Site Selection Magazine named the community in its “Canada’s Best Locations” publication, an annual undertaking highlighting the top regional and municipal places in Canada. The annual awards are based on corporate end-user facility project data, capital investments, and job creation numbers to score top pro-business Canadian communities.

“Despite economic uncertainties, the City of Brantford remains an attractive place for ongoing investment and expansion,” said Brantford Mayor Kevin Davis. “Businesses value our open-for-business approach, advantageous location, and diversified economy.” 

In 2025, building permit values for several key projects contributed to this recognition, including:

• Hilton Foods’ 230,000 sq. ft. food processing and warehouse distribution facility on Henry Street.
• DCP Developments’ 384,379 sq.ft. industrial space on Craig Street, purpose-built for logistics and warehousing.
• Vicano Developments’ 118,000 sq.ft. industrial development on Savannah Oaks Drive.
• Ferrero’s ongoing developments as part of their $445 million announcement in 2025.
• EeStairs expanded its office and manufacturing facility to help support its continued growth and future operations.

This acknowledgement underscores the great opportunity for future business growth in Brantford as another 2,000-plus gross acres are anticipated to be developed in the next 5 to 10 years.
