Canadian Navigable Waters Act Notice May 8, 2025
City of Brantford hereby gives notice that an application has been made to the Minister of Transport, pursuant to the Canadian Navigable Waters Act for approval of the work described herein and its site and plans.
Pursuant to paragraph 7(2) of the said Act,
City of Brantford has deposited with the Minister of Transport, on the on-line Common Project Search Registry (http://cps.canada.ca/) under the NPP File Number 2025-414227 a description of the following work, its site and plans:
Brant’s Crossing Bridge Superstructure Replacement and West Pier Repair including cofferdam, platforms, and debris containment in, on, over, and across the Grand River at the Brant’s Crossing Bridge.
The Brant’s Crossing Bridge is located between Fordview Park (8 Fordview Court, Brantford), and Elements Casino Brantford (40 Icomm Dr, Brantford). The Brant’s Crossing Bridge is located between the Lorne Bridge spanning the Grand River (Colborne St West) upstream, and the TH&B Recreational Bridge spanning the Grand River downstream, in the City of Brantford.
