City of Brantford issues Call for Artists for Culture Days on the Trails 2026

BRANTFORD, ON – Culture Days on the Trails returns on Saturday, September 19, 2026, and the City of Brantford is inviting local performers to participate. Singers, dancers, poets, spoken word artists, musicians, theatre performers, and live painters from Brantford, the County of Brant, Six Nations of the Grand River, and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation are encouraged to submit a proposal to showcase their talents. Culture Days on the Trails will take place along a section of the SC Johnson Trail on September 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

During the event, artists will be stationed along a beautiful 2.6-kilometre stretch of trail between Hardy Road parking lot and Lafayette Avenue, which overlooks the Grand River and runs behind Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant and the Brantford Golf and Country Club. Attendees will be invited to walk along the trail and enjoy several mini concerts and performances. Artists selected to participate will be compensated $250 for the three-hour performance time. The rain date for this event will be Sunday, September 20, 2026.

“We are excited to host Culture Days on the Trails for its fourth consecutive year,” says Adrienne Briggs, Arts and Culture Coordinator, City of Brantford. “This event highlights the city’s exceptional local talent while also promoting inclusivity, participation and engagement in arts and culture.”
