City of Brantford opens new Provincial Offences Court Administration office at 220 Colborne Street

BRANTFORD, ON – Today, the City of Brantford marked the official opening of its new Provincial Offences Court Administration (POA) office at 220 Colborne Street ahead of the first day of in-person counter services at the new location on Monday, July 6, 2026.

“This new office reflects the City’s commitment to investing in accessible, modern public services that meet the needs of residents today and into the future,” says Brantford Mayor Kevin Davis. “I want to extend my sincere thanks to all staff whose dedication, expertise, and attention to detail helped transform our new POA office into a modern, and highly functional space for both employees and the public.”

The new office replaces the former POA location at 102 Wellington Street and will continue to serve residents of Brantford, Brant County and Six Nations of the Grand River. The last day for in-person counter services at 102 Wellington Street will be Friday, July 3, 2026.

Designed to better support residents and court users, the updated facility offers increased space, improved accessibility and modern technology to enhance service delivery. This includes support for virtual hearings before the Ontario Court of Justice, helping provide more flexible and efficient access to court services.

“This move allows us to better support the day-to-day needs of court administration, from in-person counter service to virtual hearings,” says Kim Jolie, City Solicitor and Director of Legal Services. “The additional space and updated technology will help our team deliver services more efficiently while maintaining continuity for the public and justice partners we serve.”

POA services support matters under provincial legislation, including certain traffic tickets, by-law offences and other provincial offence matters.

Residents can continue to access POA services by phone at 519-751-9100, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or by email at brantfordpoa@brantford.ca. Fine payments can also be made online at payfines.ca, and additional information is available by visiting Brantford.ca/POA.
