City of Brantford to host Official Plan Review open house

BRANTFORD, ON – The City of Brantford is inviting members of the community to attend an upcoming drop-in style open house on Monday, October 5, 2026, to learn more about the City’s 2026 Official Plan Review and ask questions about the project scope and process. The open house will offer two opportunities to attend, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. inside Council Chambers at City Hall, 58 Dalhousie Street. 

The City of Brantford Official Plan, Envisioning Our City: 2051 guides how and where Brantford will grow and develop over the long-term, including considerations related to housing, employment, transportation, infrastructure, natural areas and community amenities. The City is reviewing its Official Plan  to ensure it remains current, aligns with provincial requirements, and continues to support Brantford’s long-term growth and development objectives.

Time: Drop-in from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Location: Council Chambers, Brantford City Hall, 58 Dalhousie St.

Attendees can learn more about the role of the Official Plan, why it is being reviewed and key milestones in the process. City staff will be available to answer questions and provide information about how the community can stay informed and participate throughout the review.
