Community invited to build connections at Newcomer Welcome Day

BRANTFORD, ON – The Brantford Immigration Partnership (BIP) is pleased to invite new Canadians living in Brantford and members of the public to Newcomer Welcome Day on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lion’s Park Steve Brown Sports Complex, located at 20 Edge Street. This family-friendly event is an opportunity to learn about local resources available in the community, while enjoying free food, refreshments, games and entertainment.

“Newcomer Welcome Day is a wonderful opportunity for new Canadians and their families to gather, meet other community members, and explore the many local resources available to support them,” says Brantford Mayor Kevin Davis. “Through the City’s Inclusive City Strategy, we are proud to host this annual opportunity to bring residents of all backgrounds together to learn from one another and build a better Brantford.”

Additionally, this year’s Newcomer Welcome Day will be hosted alongside the Best Start Parent Fair, offering connections and resources for families. Agencies in attendance will include:
