Downtown Revitalization Project weekly update: June 29 to July 10, 2026
BRANTFORD, ON – Installation of underground infrastructure and road construction on Icomm Drive will continue over the coming weeks, with traffic controls remaining in place throughout the construction area.
Hill Street has reopened, and all entrances and exits to the Market Centre Parkade are now available for use.
Icomm Drive closure remains in place
To support the safe, efficient installation of deep sanitary infrastructure, Icomm Drive is fully closed between Colborne Street and Hill Street. One lane remains open in each direction between Hill Street and Clarence Street South. Detours are available via Colborne Street, Dalhousie Street, and Clarence Street South.
The closure of Icomm Drive is expected to remain in place until the end of August. The map below shows the affected lanes and traffic restrictions.
Lorne Bridge Bell Canada utility relocation completed
While Bell Canada’s utility relocation work in the area of Brant Avenue and Colborne Street West has been completed, telecommunications splicing work will continue over the coming weeks in West Brant. Intermittent lane closures may be required.
Public Advisory
Motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians are encouraged to follow posted signage and allow extra travel time. Detour routes are being monitored and adjusted as needed to support traffic flow.
