Downtown Revitalization Project weekly update: October 19 to 23, 2026

BRANTFORD, ON – Due to weather delays, road work on the south side of Icomm Drive is expected to be completed this week. Weather permitting, the south lanes are expected to reopen to two-way traffic as early as October 21, 2026.

Lorne Bridge eastbound lane reduction, Brant Avenue lane reductions and Colborne Street closure

To complete the remaining work along Brant Avenue, the following temporary traffic changes are expected to take effect as early as the week of October 19, 2026, and remain in place for up to three months, weather permitting:

  • Brant Avenue between Dalhousie and Colborne Streets will be reduced to two lanes, with one in each direction.
  • Dalhousie Street between Bridge Street and Brant Avenue will be reduced to one lane.
  • Colborne Street will be closed at Brant Avenue.
  • The Lorne Bridge west of Brant Avenue will be reduced to one eastbound lane and all westbound lanes will remain open.

Night work will be required to implement these traffic changes following the paving of Icomm Drive.

The map below shows the affected lanes and traffic restrictions.
