Downtown Revitalization Project weekly update: September 21 to 25, 2026

BRANTFORD, ON – Road work on the south side of Icomm Drive is underway, and watermain installation continues this week. The south lanes of Icomm Drive will be open for two-way traffic as early as the week of October 5. 

Brant Avenue lane reductions and Colborne Street Closure beginning the week of October 5

To complete the remaining work along Brant Avenue the following temporary traffic conditions will be in place for up to three months:

  • Brant Avenue between Dalhousie and Colborne Streets will be reduced to two lanes, one in each direction.
  • Dalhousie Street between Bridge Street and Brant Avenue will be reduced to one lane.
  • Colborne Street will be closed at Brant Avenue.

Public advisory

Motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians are encouraged to follow posted signage and allow extra travel time. Detour routes are being monitored and adjusted as needed to support traffic flow.
