Generations invited to connect during October 6 PA Day
BRANTFORD, ON – The City of Brantford encourages children ages 0 to 14, and their favourite older adults, ages 55 and up, to connect, learn and have fun side-by-side through free events on the October 6, 2026 PA Day. Gen Connect offers hands-on activities, opportunities for play and creative experiences designed to spark meaningful moments across generations.
The full list of free activities is now available at Brantford.ca/HealthyKids and includes, pottery, swimming, and open gym. Space may be limited and pre-registration is required for some activities. Organizations or businesses that are interested in offering a Gen Connect program or activity during PA Days can still join the 2026/2027 school year. Please email healthykids@brantford.ca to learn more.
Gen Connect events will be offered on PA Days throughout the 2026/2027 elementary school year with program registration opening on a quarterly basis to make it easy for families to plan ahead. Participants can expect a welcoming, inclusive environment where all caregivers are encouraged to take part, whether they are grandparents, relatives or other important older adults in a child’s life.
Prioritizing seniors' health and wellness and reducing social isolation are key components of the City of Brantford’s Healthy Aging Strategy and Community Safety Well-being Plan.
