Transit Route Changes
Starting June 28, 2026, Brantford Transit will introduce seasonal service adjustments on select routes to help improve service reliability and better match ridership levels during the summer months.
What is changing
Routes that usually run more often in the afternoon during the school year will run on regular daytime schedules. More frequent afternoon service will return in the fall.
Most routes will also have minor schedule adjustments in addition to the changes listed below.
Planned changes by route
Select any of the following routes for details about upcoming updates:
- No planned changes to the route
- Most weekday trips will run approximately 5 minutes earlier
Route 3 - Banbury and Brier Park Loop
- Saturday and Sunday trips will travel via Park Road North instead of Wayne Gretzky Parkway after leaving Lynden Park Mall
- Weekday trips will continue to run via Wayne Gretzky Parkway
- One additional late-night trip will run at the end of service on weekdays at 12:23 a.m. and Saturdays at 12:13 a.m. from Lynden Park Mall to provide additional travel options at the end of the day
- Weekend departure times will change
- No changes to the planned route
- Saturday evening trips after 9:00 p.m. will run approximately 15 minutes earlier
- No changes to the planned route
- No changes to the planned route
- Most weekday trips will run approximately 5 minutes later
- Sunday trips will run approximately 35 minutes later
- No changes to the planned route
- During the summer school holiday period, afternoon peak service will run every 30 minutes
- Increased frequency will return in the fall
- Saturday service after approximately 3:35 p.m. will run every 35 minutes
Route 8 - Holmedale and Mayfair Line
- No changes to the planned route
Route 9 - Echo Place and Sinclair Boulevard Loop
- No changes to the planned route
- Saturday service between approximately 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. will run every 35 minutes to support improved service reliability
- During the summer school holiday period, afternoon peak service will run every 30 minutes
- Increased frequency will return in the fall
Route 14 - East Brantford Evening Loop
- No changes to the planned route
- No changes to the planned route
- Evening trips serving the Transit Terminal will be adjusted
- The first weekday trip that currently starts at the Transit Terminal will begin earlier from NWIA, providing an earlier downtown connection by approximately 20 minutes
- The last Saturday trip from NWIA to downtown will run approximately 20 minutes earlier
- No changes to the planned route
- An additional trial round trip will run on weekday afternoons, departing Lynden Park Mall at 2:45 p.m. and NWIA (Hardy Road at Zatonski Avenue) at 3:05 p.m.
