Brantford Transit Moving Forward Phase 2 service changes take effect September 6, 2026

BRANTFORD, ON – Beginning Sunday, September 6, 2026, Brantford Transit will introduce significant service changes as part of Phase 2 of the Moving Forward Transit Optimization Plan. The changes will improve service reliability, increase service coverage and provide more direct travel options throughout the network.

Key changes

• Four new routes will be introduced: Route B, Route 23, Route 24 and Route 25
• Routes 4, 4A and 4C will end service, with new and revised routing introduced in these service areas
• New Core Route B will provide direct north-south service between Eagle Place and Brantford Commons
• Routes 23, 24 and 25 will provide improved service coverage and more direct travel options in the north end of Brantford
• More frequent afternoon service will return on select routes
• Most routes will have minor schedule adjustments

Public open house

Brantford Transit will host a public open house on Wednesday, August 26 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Charlie Ward Room at City Hall (58 Dalhousie Street).

This drop-in event will provide an opportunity for residents and riders to learn more about the upcoming service changes, ask questions and speak with Brantford Transit staff about how the changes may affect their trips.
