City of Brantford 2026 Civic holiday programming and schedule changes

BRANTFORD, ON – The City of Brantford is pleased to offer outdoor pool and pickleball programming on Monday, August 3, 2026. There will be some schedule changes in place for some city facilities on the Civic Holiday. There are no changes to regularly scheduled garbage, recycling and green bin collection.

Earl Haig Family Fun Park

The waterpark will be open on Monday, August 3, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with pools closing at 7:30 p.m. Park amenities include lazy river, splash pad, leisure pool and waterslide and mini putt. Detailed information can be found at www.Brantford.ca/EarlHaig.

Woodman Community Centre and Pool

Woodman pool will be open, weather permitting, on Monday, August 3, 2026 for Length Swimming from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Public Swim from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Swim lessons are not scheduled on Monday, August 3, 2026. The Community Centre will be open for pickleball on Monday, August 3, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Regular rates apply. Find detailed information at www.Brantford.ca/Pickleball. Woodman Park Community Centre will be closed for all other regularly scheduled programming and rentals on Monday, August 3, 2026.

Walter Gretzky Municipal Golf Course, Wally’s Grill and Patio and Lawn Bowling

The Walter Gretzky Municipal Golf Course and Learning Centre, driving range, Pro Shop and Wally’s Grill and Patio will be open on Monday, August 3, 2026. Tee off times begin at 7 a.m. with the last tee time at 7 p.m. Tee times can be booked online at www.Brantford.ca/Golf. The Pro Shop and driving range are open from 7 a.m. to dusk. Wally’s Grill and Patio is open for anyone to enjoy family-friendly fare from 10 a.m. to dusk. The lawn bowling facility is closed on Monday, August 3, 2026.

Brantford City Hall, Customer Service and Parking Enforcement Office

Brantford City Hall, Customer Service and the Parking Enforcement Office at 58 Dalhousie Street will close at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026 and reopen on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 8:30 a.m. While closed, all customer service calls will be routed to the City’s after-hours provider.

Brantford Transit and Brantford Lift

• Brantford Transit will be operating on Sunday service schedules from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2026.
• Brantford Lift will be operating on Sunday service schedules from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2026.

Brantford Public Libraries

All City of Brantford library branches will be closed on Monday, August 3, 2026.

Mohawk Street Landfill 

The Mohawk Street Landfill will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2026.

Bell Homestead National Historic Site

The Bell Homestead National Historic Site and The Exchange Café will be closed Monday, August 3, 2026.

City of Brantford Community Centres

• Branlyn Community Centre will be closed on Monday, August 3, 2026
• Doug Snooks Eagle Place Community Centre will be closed on Monday, August 3, 2026
• T.B. Costain/SC Johnson Community Centre will be closed on Monday, August 3, 2026
• Woodman Park Community Centre will be open for Holiday Pickleball from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2026. Regular rates apply. The Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre will be closed on Monday, August 3, 2026, including the Brantford and Area Sports Hall of Recognition and Discover Brantford Desk.
