Have you ever wondered who the lady is on our ten-dollar bill? Maybe you know who she is but don’t know much about her. Learn all about Viola Desmond and other important historical Black Canadians through the Rella Black History Foundation and the #ShareTheirStory campaign on YouTube.

Calling all sports fans! Take a trip through time with TVO Kids’ Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum as they meet Baseball legend Jackie Robinson and learn how he inspires a country to think different about how they treat people.

Brantford is home to our own Black sports legends like Track star Debbie Miller Brown, Football player, coach and mentor, Ray Johnson, and Brantford’s own Baseball star, Jimmy Wilks.

February can be a great month to cuddle up with a good book. Especially when it’s really cold outside. This “7 great Canadian #BlackGirlBooks” book list from CBC Kids, provides a list of 7 Canadian books featuring Black female characters.

Story time! Join Red Barn Books as they take you on an animated journey to learn about Canada's legendary Black cowboy and pioneer rancher, in the story “Howdy, I'm John Ware”.
