Museums and Galleries

Whether your passion is painting or the past, we have museums and galleries that will educate and amuse all ages.

A must-see museum is the Bell Homestead National Historic Site, the former home of Alexander Graham Bell, which set the stage for the invention of the telephone. Other local museums, such as the Canadian Military Heritage Museum, the Brant Museum and Archives and Myrtleville House Museum teach us about our fascinating local people and their stories.

Learn about local Indigenous histories at Her Majesty's Royal Chapel of the Mohawks, and Woodland Cultural Centre, which includes a museum and gallery, as well as the former Mohawk Institute Residential School.

If you love painting, drawing, sculpture and landscaping, Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant and Glenhyrst Gardens is for you. This contemporary art gallery offers year-round programs for all ages.

Sports fans will love the Brantford & Area Sports Hall of Recognition, which features interactive displays and memorabilia from some of Brantford's greatest athletes.
