Movies in the Square

Join us Thursdays from July 9 to August 27, 2026 for Movies in the Square in Harmony Square, 89 Dalhousie Street. Don't miss the fun pre-show activities followed by a movie on the big screen generously donated by Millards Chartered Professional Accountants, Enterprise Brant, Downtown Brantford BIA and Conestoga College. Movies begin at dusk. Be sure to bring a lawn chair and blanket.

Popcorn, drinks and other goodies can be purchased on site at the Downtown Central Neighbourhood Association booth.  All proceeds from the concession will go to the Downtown Central Neighbourhood Association and help strengthen and support our downtown community.

• Thursday, July 9, 2026: Despicable Me 4. Dress up in your Minions best – we’re talking yellow, blue and goggles are ready to become Mega Minions. The movie starts at 9:35 p.m.
• Thursday, July 16, 2026: Dog Man. Police officers are an important part of our community, come as a police officer to watch the adventures of Dog Man. The movie starts at 9:30 p.m.
• Thursday, July 23, 2026: Inside Out 2. Embrace your emotions and dress as your favourite Inside Out 2 Character. Enjoy pre-show entertainment by Freedom House. The movie starts at 9:22 p.m.
• Thursday, July 30, 2026: Zootopia 2. Dress as your favourite animal – bonus points if they have a job too! The movie starts at 9:14 p.m.
• Thursday, August 6, 2026: SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants. Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? Dress as your favourite underwater creature. Enjoy pre-show entertainment by Freedom House. The movie starts at 9:04 p.m.
• Thursday, August 13, 2026: Paddington in Peru. As Paddington explores his wild side, dress up in your adventure gear and get ready to explore. The movie starts at 8:53 p.m.
• Thursday, August 20, 2026: A Minecraft Movie. Come as your favourite video game character and get ready to play along. The movie starts at 8:42 p.m.
• Thursday, August 27, 2026: How to Train Your Dragon (2025). Come dressed in your Medieval gear to train dragons with the Vikings. The movie starts at 8:30 p.m.

Follow us on Facebook to answer the weekly trivia poll. The winner will receive VIP treatment, two drinks and two bags of popcorn donated by Downtown Central Neighbourhood Association and two front row seats in Muskoka Chairs.

If the movie is cancelled, there is no carry over for the front row seats; you will still receive two drinks and two bags of popcorn.
Go green and receive a free popcorn out of it! We are offering one free popcorn to each person who rides their bike to Movies in the Square this year.
