Ice Jam Mitigation Feasibility Study
The City of Brantford, in partnership with the Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA), is undertaking a Feasibility Study to reduce ice jam potential on the Grand River. The intent of the Study is to lay the groundwork for future Environmental Assessment (EA) studies to further evaluate alternatives and select a preferred management strategy.
A key component of the study is consultation with interested stakeholders landowners, community agencies and the public. The first Public Information Centre (PIC) was held at Brantford City Hall on February 11, 2026.
Detailed information including the PIC presentation and progress on the study to date is available on the GRCA Ice Jam Mitigation Feasibility Study project page.
