Notice is hereby given to the Municipal Electors of the City of Brantford that every person who proposes to be a candidate for any office in the 2026 Municipal Election to be held in the City of Brantford on Monday, October 26, 2026, must file a Nomination Paper with the City Clerk responsible for the 2026 Election.
The City of Brantford is advising prospective candidates that nominations for the 2026 Municipal Election open on Friday, May 1, 2026. Candidate application packages are available starting April 20, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at the City Hall Customer Service Desk and online at Brantford.ca/Nomination.
The City of Brantford will host a Candidate Information Night for individuals who intend to file a nomination and run in the 2026 Municipal Election, or who intend to register as a third party advertiser.
The City of Brantford will host a candidate education session for individuals considering running in the 2026 Municipal Election.
