Many education programs are available to help you:
- Finish high school
- Improve your language skills
- Upgrade your reading, writing or math skills
- Upgrade to apply to college or university
Employment Supports
Ontario Works Employment Supports help you become “job ready”. Your service coordinator can help you access our employment supports and provide more information.
Employment Supports
If you need special training to get a job, we partner with community agencies to get you the help you need to develop your skills. The courses and costs such as daycare and transportation can be fully funded by Ontario Works.
Learning, Earning and Parenting (LEAP)
If you're a young parent between the ages of 16 to 25, the LEAP program can give you the supports you need to:
- Finish high school
- Improve your parenting skills
- Prepare for and find work so you can support your family
A financial incentive is provided to students who successfully complete the LEAP Program. The money can be used to help with further education or to invest in a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) for your child.
Reading, writing and basic skills
If it's hard for you to get or keep a job because you have trouble with reading, writing, or math, we can help you get the education you need.
If you are a Newcomer to Canada and/or English is not your first language, we can connect you with English as a Second Language (ESL) classes in the community.
