Hockey is for Everyone
A joint partnership between the City of Brantford, Brantford Immigration Partnership and Free Sports for Growth to teach newcomer and refugee youth how to play hockey.
| Youth Skate Night in Harmony Square - RESCHEDULED to Friday, February 13, 2026 |
| Come join Brantford Youth Council and the Town and Gown Committee for a night of skating in Harmony Square, located at 89 Dalhousie St, Brantford from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There will be music, mascots, and lots of fun!
Free skates are available from Free Sport for Growth, and skate aids will be available for new skaters. Helmets and weather appropriate dress are highly recommended. This event is geared to those aged 12 to 25, however everyone is welcome. |

| Want to see the Brantford Bulldogs play at the TD Civic Centre? There are a limited number of free tickets available for newcomer and refugee youth being distributed by the Brantford Immigration Partnership. Priority distribution to youth who participate in the Hockey 101 Workshop! The Brantford Bulldogs game takes place at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at the TD Civic Centre, located at 79 Market St S, Brantford. |
International Mother Language Day – Drop-In Event
Celebrate International Mother Language Day with a fun, interactive drop-in event that highlights the many languages spoken in our community. Connect with new cultures by learning a few phrases in different languages from Community ambassadors and help build our Community Language Tree by sharing the language you speak and a greeting or phrase in it.
Together, we’ll create a visual celebration of our community’s linguistic diversity while celebrating mother languages in our community.

- Community and social service providers
- Service navigators and frontline staff
- Employment, housing, health, and family support organizations
- Any role that works with or encounters newcomers

2026 Brantford Immigration Partnership Summit
Community partners are invited to a collaborative summit to exchange ideas and learn about innovative approaches to strengthen settlement outcomes and advance regional economic growth on Wednesday, March 4, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Walter Gretzky Municipal Golf Course and Learning Centre Banquet Hall, located at 320 Balmoral Dr, Brantford.
This free event will include presentations from Dr. Georgette Zinaty, Local Immigration Partnerships and an update from the Brantford Immigration Partnership.
