BT Connect Mobile App
BT Connect is Brantford Transit’s official mobile app that allows you to pay fares, plan trips, and manage your transit account—right from your smartphone.
Follow the steps below to get started.
Step 1: Download the App
Download the BT Connect mobile app by searching “Brantford Transit” in your device’s app store:

Google Play Store (Android)
Step 2: Create an Account
- Open the app and select Sign Up to register.
- Enter your email and create a secure password.
- By default, your account will be set up as a Regular Rider (Adult fare).
Need a reduced fare?
If you are eligible for a reduced fare category (e.g., Senior, Student, CNIB), you must verify your eligibility in person. Visit the Brantford Transit Terminal (64 Darling Street) and bring valid identification. Once approved, your account will be updated to unlock reduced fare products in the app and on the BT Connect website.
Step 3: Personalize Your Wallet (Optional)
After creating your account, you will have the option to name your digital wallet. This step is optional and is just for your personal reference.
Step 4: Add Fare Products
Once you are in your wallet, you can add fare products in a few easy steps:
- Select “Add Fare Products” or choose a fare category.
- Choose from the available options:
- Stored value (add between $2.00 and $200.00)
- Single ride or ride bundles (e.g., 10 rides)
- 31-day passes (activated on first use)
- Review your selections and click Continue to proceed to checkout.
- Enter your credit card information. You may choose to save it for future purchases.
- Confirm your purchase. A confirmation screen and email will follow.
Your fare products will now appear in your wallet, ready to use.
Step 5: Use Your Fare to Ride
When you are ready to ride:
- Open the app and select the fare product you want to use (single ride, pass, or stored value).
- If using a ride product, you’ll be prompted to add a free transfer. This will appear in your wallet automatically.
- Tap Activate just before boarding. A QR code will appear and stay active for 10 minutes.
- Show the active QR code to the onboard reader when you board the bus.
