Lions Park Arena and Auditorium

There are several groups that provide hockey and skating program at Lions Park Arena:

Arena hours

Winter Season runs October to the end of March with the following hours.

  • Monday to Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Public Skate

Join us on Sunday afternoon's from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. during the winter season for our public skates. All ages welcome. 

Admission per person is $4.45 including HST and children 4 and under are free.

For your safety, CSA approved helmets are highly recommended for all skaters. Equipment such as skating aids, pushers, strollers, as well as sticks and pucks are not permitted. Please skate responsibly and with the flow of other skaters. Arena personnel are there to help if you have any questions.

We have an arena and auditorium available for rent. 

Arena rental information

Our arena is fully accessible with the following amenities:

  • 54 metres by 26 metres
  • six dressing rooms
  • seats 289 people
  • free parking on-site

Non-prime time ice rental hours:

  • Monday to Friday before 5:00 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Prime time ice rental hours:

  • Monday to Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Auditorium rental information

Our auditorium can be rented year round for various events and gatherings. If you plan to host an event with alcohol, please view the Municipal Alcohol Policy . The auditorium has the following amenities:

  • air conditioned
  • banquet seating capacity of 274 people

Auditorium rental rates:

The fee to rent the auditorium at Lions Park is $40 per hour. Rentals must be booked for a minimum of two hours for non-alcohol events and a minimum of nine hours for an event where alcohol is served. Insurance is required, and can be provided or purchased from the City of Brantford.

How to book

To book ice or the arena floor during applicable times, please fill out the City of Brantford Rental Application below.  Submitted applications are requests only and does not guarantee a permit will be issued or availability. Rentals booked 14 days in advance of the rental start date requested and once confirmed, is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Rental cancellation request

A request to cancel a rental is required in writing by emailing rentals@brantford.ca a minimum of 14 days prior to rental date; otherwise the rental must be paid in full.
