Financial Assistance

It's important to us that all children and youth in our community have the chance to access recreation and leisure services. Financial assistance for most of our drop-in and registered programs may be available to you if you qualify and if the funds and programs are available.  You can find out if you meet the requirements by looking at the charts below.

What you need to know

  • Limited assistance is available for youth and children 17 years and under
  • Assistance is limited to two programs per person per season
  • Assistance is based on your family income before deductions and whether other assistance has already been provided to your family for the current registration time
  • Only two weeks of summer camp assistance if available
  • Some restrictions apply
  • You will not be charged to apply

Things to bring when you apply

  • A drug benefit card that identifies the children in your care or child tax benefit form
  • One of the following to verify your entire families source of income; a recent pay stub(s), cheque stub from government assistance, insurance benefit stub, income tax return etc.

How payment works

  • Ontario Works and Ontario Disability customers receive 100% funding with proper documentation. Some restrictions may apply.
  • If you don't qualify for 100% assistance, you have to pay your portion of the program fee when you register. (view the chart below for details)
  • You can make payment by Visa, Mastercard, Debit, cash or cheque (payable to the ‘City of Brantford').
