We offer several youth programs for ages 11 to 17.

A Night for YOUth
Check out our youth only WLounge, open for use of video game systems, iMac computer stations and iPad use. Pool table and COVID-19-safe board games and other activities will be available. Keep an eye out for daily activities and themes on our monthly calendar.

A Night for YOUth - All Access on Wednesdays
Come and check out our youth only WLounge and open gym time. Open gym gives you access to the Woodman gym with various sports equipment. The WLounge will be open for use of video game systems, iMac computer stations and iPad use. Pool table and certain COVID-19 safe board games and other activities will be available. Keep an eye out for daily activities and themes on our monthly calendar.

 Learn 2 Lacrosse with  Onkwehonwe Games (9 to 14 years)

Learn about Canada's National summer sport through the lens of the Haudenosaunee with Coach Dallas. Participants will participate in basic development drills while learning the true history of the game. All sessions will take place outdoors, weather permitting. No equipment required. This is a no cost program in partnership with Healthy Kids Brantford-Brant.

Youth Leadership Development (13 to 16 years)

This is a two-week leader-in-training program takes place at Woodman Park Community Centre, located at 491 Grey Street. The first week is your in-class training and the second week you will volunteer at one of our City-run day camps to show off your new skills! You will also get volunteer hours for high school and if you complete both levels a special certificate from the Mayor’s office. 

Important information

  • Bring a snack and a refillable water bottle (water fountains are only available for refilling at this time)
  • Parents are required to sign-in and sign-out their child(ren) outside the facility. Parents will be asked to call the facility to notify of pick-up.
  • Consistent with public health regulations, ongoing handwashing and sanitizing protocols (including all materials and surfaces) will be adhered to by all staff and participants prior to and throughout program.
  • Everyone in the household must stay home if anyone is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, been notified that they are a close contact or is waiting for test results after experiencing symptoms. Refunds will be issued if this occurs for days not attended in this situation.
