Health Care

The following is important information to help you through the process of finding good healthcare.

Finding a doctor

You should begin looking for one the moment you arrive in Canada. Contact Immigrant Settlement Services-YMCA for a list of medical centres or doctors. This process may take some time, as there is usually a waiting list for doctors. While you wait for a family doctor, you can go to walk-in clinics, community health centres and hospitals.
