About Us

The Brantford Fire Department protects citizens and our community from fires, emergencies, and life-threatening situations. We do this through safety programs, rescue operations and by responding to emergencies. We also provide education, prevention and suppression services. The department was established in 1889.

Annual Reporting

To ensure the public is well informed of the services we deliver, we are pleased to share the  2017/18 Brantford Fire Report, outlining the initiatives and accomplishments of the Fire Department throughout 2017 and 2018.

Master Fire Plan

The City's Master Fire Plan was developed to provide Council and staff with a strategic framework for the delivery of fire protection services for the City of Brantford over the next 10 years. The findings and recommendations within the plan have been used to develop a Community Risk Assessment to assess the existing fire risk within the community.
