Brantford celebrates Seniors Month with Healthy Aging Passport

BRANTFORD, ON – To celebrate Seniors Month in June, the City of Brantford is pleased to announce a variety of free programs, activities, workshops and events for adults ages 55 years and older to enjoy between Monday, June 2 and Monday, June 30, 2025.

The Healthy Aging Passport is offered in partnership with numerous organizations, including Brant Skills Centre, Brantford Public Library, the Grand River Council on Aging, Grand River Community Health Centre, Bell Homestead, Golden Age Management and more. The Passport allows older residents to explore free educational workshops, cultural art programs, social clubs, and more at various locations throughout the city, including:

  • Caregiving Benefits
  • Tours of the Bell Homestead
  • Chair Yoga
  • Dreamcatcher workshop
  • Smartphone Basics
  • Powers of Attorney 101
  • Euchre
  • Summer Music Series
  • Survivor Benefits
  • Protein Power

“The Healthy Aging Passport is a fantastic way for seniors to get engaged, healthy, and connected,” says Brantford Mayor Kevin Davis. “I encourage all older adults in the community to take advantage of the many offerings this year’s passport has.”

Prioritizing seniors' health and wellness, and reducing social isolation are key components of the City of Brantford’s Healthy Aging Strategy. Initiatives such as the Healthy Aging Passport provide an opportunity for older adults to remain active and stay connected to our community, which can improve their overall well-being.

A full list of upcoming programs will be available online as of 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at calendar.brantford.ca/healthyagingpassport. Physical copies of the Passport will also be available for pick up on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at the following locations:
