Brantford Transit temporary schedule and bus stop changes beginning June 25

Brantford Transit buses

BRANTFORD, ON – Beginning Sunday, June 25th, 2023 Brantford Transit will implement a temporary, modified schedule in response to less demand for hourly service during the evening hours and provide for more reliable service to higher demand area. As a result of a detailed review of ridership levels in the evening hours during the summer, and the lessening of service demands between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m., beginning June 25th evening hourly service will begin at 7:00 p.m. rather than 9:00 p.m. Only evening hour frequency is impacted by this change.

Temporary schedule changes beginning June 25, 2023

  • Daytime Service (Routes 1-9) will run every half hour Monday to Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (no change)
  • Night Service (Routes 11-15) will run hourly Monday to Saturday from 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Furthermore, due to lower ridership levels at certain locations, some low usage bus stops will be out of service during the summer months. The stops will be clearly identified as ‘out of service’ and information regarding the next closest bus stop will be provided for riders at each location. The change is being implemented to minimize the number of times a bus has to stop on a route, improving on-time performance and providing a more reliable service.
