City confirms receipt of 3rd site plan submission for retail development at 84 Lynden Road

BRANTFORD, ON: The City of Brantford can confirm that we are now in receipt of the full 3rd site plan submission that proposes the development of a Costco retail warehouse with a maximum floor area of 15,105m², and an associated gas bar at 84 Lynden Road in Brantford. The submission includes architectural plans, civil engineering plans, electrical plans, landscape plans, survey plans, as well as transportation reports and plans. The proposal also involves the creation of a right-in access from Wayne Gretzky Parkway, improvements to the main mall intersection at Edmondson Street, the construction of stormwater management facilities on and off-site, and the enclosure of a portion of the drainage system adjacent to Wayne Gretzky Parkway and Highway 403.  

As per the City’s standard development review practices and protocols, the City, together with utility partners, CN, MTO, GRCA and others, are now in the process of reviewing the plans in order to provide feedback to the applicant on this exciting project.

The City of Brantford remains committed to working with Costco to achieve our mutual goal of bringing a Costco retail warehouse to Brantford.
