City of Brantford 2023 Civic Holiday schedule changes

BRANTFORD, ON – For the public’s information, the following schedule changes will be in place during the upcoming Civic Holiday on Monday, August 7, 2023. There are no changes to the collection of regularly scheduled garbage and recycling.

Brantford City Hall at 58 Dalhousie Street will be closed on Monday, August 7 and reopen on Tuesday, August 8 at 8:30 a.m.

Online services reminder

Many City services can be requested using one of our comprehensive online forms, that can be conveniently accessed on the City’s website at Brantford.ca/RequestService. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at 519-759-4150.

The following facilities and services will be operating on Monday, August 7:

Brantford Lift: operating from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Brantford Transit: operating from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Earl Haig Family Fun Park: open from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pools close at 5:30 p.m. (admission fees apply)
Landfill site: open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Walter Gretzky Golf Course and Pro Shop: tee times begin at 7:00 a.m. with the last tee time at 7:00 p.m. Tee times can be booked online at Brantford.ca/Golf. The Pro Shop is also open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Wally’s Grill and Patio: everyone welcome to enjoy family-friendly fare from 10:00 a.m. to dusk (located at the Walter Gretzky Municipal Golf Course)

Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre:

Free Indoor Running/Walking Track: 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Modified Fitness and Pool hours:

Weight Room open: 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Family Swim (65m shallow-end only) with the Warm Water Pool open: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Length Swim (25m pool and 65m pool mid-section and deep end only) with the Hydrotherapy pool open: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Public Swim: 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Arena closed
Tourism Information Desk: closed
Brantford and Area Sports Hall of Recognition: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Brantford and District Civic Centre
Brantford City Hall Customer Service (open for calls only)
Brantford Public Library (Main Branch and St. Paul Branch)
