City of Brantford 2024 Remembrance Day schedule changes

Remembrance Day Brant War Memorial Services with wreaths laid

BRANTFORD, ON – For the public’s information, the following City of Brantford schedule changes will be in place for Remembrance Day on Monday, November 11, 2024. There are no changes to the collection of regularly scheduled green bin, garbage and recycling.

Brantford Transit and Brantford Lift will be operating regular weekday service schedules on November 11 with free transportation from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for those attending the Remembrance Day Service. You can find routes and schedules at Brantford.ca/Transit.

Brantford City Hall Customer Service at 58 Dalhousie Street will close at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, November 8 and reopen on Tuesday, November 12 at 8:30 a.m. During this time, all customer service calls will be routed to the City’s after-hours provider that can be reached by calling the City’s Customer Service number at 519-759-4150.

Remembrance Day Service and overnight lighting display

An overnight lighting display will take place at the Brant War Memorial (6 Dalhousie Street) beginning Sunday, November 10, 2024. A cadet vigil will take place on Sunday, November 10, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to midnight, resuming again on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Residents are invited to attend the Remembrance Day Service at the Brant War Memorial (6 Dalhousie Street). Details, including temporary road closures, are available online at Brantford.ca/RemembranceDay.

Residents are invited to take in a special In Remembrance and Forget me Not: Brantford’s Armenian History exhibits featuring the stories of Brantford veterans at The Brant Museum and Archives (57 Charlotte Street) on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is by donation.
