City of Brantford Canada Day 2025 holiday programming and schedule changes

BRANTFORD, ON – The City of Brantford is pleased to provide Canada Day programming on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 for residents and visitors to enjoy. There will be schedule changes in place for some city facilities on Canada Day. There will be no changes to regularly scheduled garbage, recycling and green bin collection. The use of fireworks is permitted on Canada Day, July 1, 2025, or the three calendar days leading up to the holiday (June 28, 29 and 30, 2025) as long as they meet the safety requirements and by-law restrictions. Earl Haig Family Fun Park

The waterpark will be open on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with pools closing at 7:30 p.m. Park amenities include lazy river, splash pad, leisure pool and waterslide and mini putt. Detailed information can be found at www.Brantford.ca/EarlHaig.

Woodman Pool

The recently renovated outdoor pool will be open, weather permitting, on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 for Length Swimming from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., a Family Swim from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. and Public Swim from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Detailed information, including admission rates, can be found at www.Brantford.ca/WoodmanPool. The Community Centre will be closed for programming and rentals. 

Walter Gretzky Municipal Golf Course and Wally’s Grill & Patio

The Walter Gretzky Municipal Golf Course and Learning Centre, driving range, Pro Shop and Wally’s Grill and Patio will be open on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Tee off times begin at 7 a.m. with the last tee time at 7 p.m. Tee times can be booked online at www.Brantford.ca/Golf. The Pro Shop and driving range are open from 6:30 a.m. to dusk. Wally’s Grill and Patio is open for anyone to enjoy family-friendly fare from 10 a.m. to dusk.

Brantford’s Canada Day at Lions Park Steve Brown Sports Complex

Enjoy a day of fun and incredible entertainment including Canadian rock band, The Trews, presented by OLG, on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. All events and activities are free with the exception to the Kidzone Carnival and Midway and food and Marketplace Vendor purchases. City of Brantford facility schedule changes on Tuesday, July 1, 2025

Brantford City Hall, Customer Service and Parking Enforcement Office

Brantford City Hall and Customer Service will be closed at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, June 30 and reopen on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 8:30 a.m. While closed, all customer service calls will be routed to the City’s after-hours provider that can be reached by calling the City’s Customer Service number at 519-759-4150.

Brantford Transit and Brantford Lift

  • Brantford Transit will have no service on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Brantford Transit will offer free shuttle services to Brantford’s Canada Day event taking place at Lions Park Steve Brown Sports Complex every 30 minutes, beginning at 11 a.m., with the last shuttle leaving the park at 10:30 a.m. Find free shuttle service hours and locations at www.Brantford.ca/CanadaDay.
  • Brantford Lift will have no service on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.

Brantford Public Libraries

All City of Brantford library branches will be closed on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.

Bell Homestead National Historic Site

The Bell Homestead National Historic Site will be closed Tuesday, July 1, 2025.

City of Brantford community centres and arenas

  • Beckett Recreation Centre will be closed on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
  • Branlyn Community Centre will be closed on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
  • Brantford and District Civic Centre will be closed on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
  • Doug Snooks Eagle Place Community Centre will be closed on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
  • Lions Park Arena will be closed on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
  • T.B. Costain/SC Johnson Community Centre will be closed on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
  • Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre will be closed on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, including the Brantford & Area Sports Hall of Recognition and Discover Brantford Desk.

The Ontario Works Brantford-Brant main office at 225 Colborne Street will be closed on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
