City opens Earl Haig Family Fun Park pool early to help beat the heat

Brantford, ON – With unusually warmer temperatures upon us earlier than expected, the City is excited to share that we have expedited the opening of the Earl Haig Family Fun Park pool and lazy river for the summer season beginning today, Friday, June 2, 2023. Other amenities that will be available as part of the early opening include beach volleyball, mini-putt, and picnic shelter rentals. Starting tomorrow, these offerings will be available on weekends, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Additional amenities including the splash pad and water slide are expected to open within the next week.

Full Park Opening

Starting Tuesday, June 20, 2023, the waterpark will also be open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and starting Friday, June 23, the Park will be open daily. The waterpark will also be open on statutory holidays including Canada Day, Saturday July 1 and Monday July 3, Civic Holiday, Monday August 7 and Labour Day, Monday September 4 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

There are a wide variety of pass options available including daily admission, evening rates after 5:30 p.m., 10-visit passes, Season’s Splash Passes and more. For specific passes and rates, please visit Brantford.ca/EarlHaig.

Group rates are also available for schools, camps, non-profit trips, business groups, birthdays and family picnics if booked seven days in advance. To book your group, please call 519-756-9900 ext.5287 or email earlhaig@brantford.ca.

The Snack Shack concession offers a variety of delicious fare including hot dogs and hamburgers, ice cream bars, snacks, and several refreshing drink options. Visitors are also welcome to bring their own food and non-alcoholic drinks into the park. Locker rentals are available.

Lifeguard Recruitment Ongoing

As staff shortages continue to be a challenge, the City of Brantford is actively recruiting lifeguards and swim instructors to expand our aquatics programming options and offerings.
