FILMING NOTICE - JULY 2 TO JULY 7, 2023

The City of Brantford Economic Development, Tourism & Cultural Initiatives Department is pleased to welcome the cast and crew of Chimp 3. They will be filming scenes on George Street, Dalhousie Street, King Street and Colborne Street (near the Sherwood Restaurant).

The story follows a former military specialist who now investigates a wide conspiracy with corrupt police officers, politicians and businessmen.

Film crews will arrive in Brantford on Monday, June 26. Preparation, filming, and wrap- up activities will occur from June 30 to July 13, with primary filming from July 3 to 7.

In the event of a Screen Actors Guild strike, production may be delayed with tentative dates rescheduled by 14 days, with crews arriving on July 10, related activities occurring from July 13 to 27, and primary filming July 17 to 21.

Businesses impacted by the closure have been contacted directly by the production to make necessary arrangements.

Residents and businesses displaced can reach out to the Location Manager or Assistant Location manager identified at the bottom of the circulated notification letter. In and out access for affected local residents as well as business owners, employees, and customers will be coordinated. Also, regular waste collection will be coordinated for impacted residents and businesses. Cast, crew, and support vehicles will be parked on private or institutional lots in the near vicinity.

Anticipated Impacts

Special Effects and Noise Exemption

The production will use explosives, pyrotechnics, fires/burning, simulated gunfire, mock weapons/officers/vehicles, drones/UAV, and simulated accidents. While no filming activities are expected after 11 pm and before 7 am on any production day, a noise exemption application has been obtained for the relocation of production vehicles.
