Jaycee Park trail and bridge rehabilitation completed under budget

Jaycee Park trail and bridge rehabilitation

BRANTFORD, ON – The City of Brantford is pleased to announce the completion of rehabilitation work on the pedestrian bridge and trail at Jaycee Park (395 Dunsdon Street). The project improves public access through a naturalized area of the park by replacing the existing bridge and constructing a new accessible trail.

The original pedestrian bridge was closed following a structural audit due to safety concerns. The completed work restores an important connection through the park, enhancing safe and accessible travel between nearby neighbourhoods and park amenities.

The $750,000 project was completed under budget, with $600,000 funded by the Canada Community-Building Fund (CCBF), supporting vital infrastructure projects across the country.

The CCBF is a permanent, predictable, and stable source of funding for municipal infrastructure, helping to enable strong, sustainable, and vibrant communities across Canada. In Ontario, the CCBF is administered by the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO).
