New After-hours Emergency Shelter Contact

BRANTFORD, ON – Following approval by the Social Services Committee and Brantford City Council, implementation of the recommendations from the comprehensive Shelter Review completed earlier this year continue to go into effect. Further to the Emergency Shelter changes implemented earlier this month, as of January 2, 2019, the Salvation Army will manage homelessness after-hours calls. Individuals requiring shelter after-hours should call 519-753-4193 to receive assistance. People are asked to call rather than visit the shelter in-person in order to determine the most appropriate next steps.
The Social Services Support Centre at 220 Colborne Street, Brantford, will continue to assist people requiring emergency shelter services from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Individuals can call the Social Services Support Centre at 519-759-7009 or visit the office in-person for support.

The devoted staff and volunteers at Victim Services of Brant have been an invaluable partner to the City of Brantford in assisting individuals experiencing homelessness in our community. The City is grateful for all their efforts and contribution.
